Training and support for Cochrane review authors
NEW! The Australasian Cochrane Centre is launching its 2012 Cochrane Live! series of online webinars. For brief, online, interactive training on a range of issues, why not join us? Recordings will also be available online after each session. For more details, click here.
Need help with your review? Members of the Training Team are available to assist you. During our Friday Clinics, 12:30pm - 1:30pm (Melbourne time) every Friday, call us on 03 9903 0061 to speak to a member of the Training team in person, or email us any time at training@cochrane.org.au.
Our face-to-face workshops for review authors are designed to meet the needs of both new and more experienced authors. Introductory training for new authors covers the methods required for most systematic reviews. For those further in to the review process, Review Completion workshops are designed to provide dedicated support and protected time to help authors get their review 'across the line'. There is no charge for attending these workshops provided participants are either working on or intending to work on a registered Cochrane review. Further information about our regular workshops, including our schedule and online registration, is available from the menu on the left.
From time to time we run special workshops covering more advanced topics, or hosted by interested organisations. We also hold an annual Symposium for regional contributors to The Cochrane Collaboration. The purpose of these symposia is to provide an in-depth look at current methodological and organisational issues that affect review authors, staff of Cochrane entities, and other interested contributors. The 2011 Symposium was held in Melbourne, Australia, in July 2011.
